COLUMBIA, Ky.  – The Blue Raiders softball team swept a doubleheader against Hiwassee after takeing game one 9-0 and game two 8-1. LWC recorded 23 hits and added 17 RBI's across the two games while giving up just nine hits and one run.

In game one, head coach David Dews picked up his 500th softball career coaching victory. He accomplished the feat after coaching stints at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (Ala.), Darton State Junior College (Ga.), and now at Lindsey Wilson where he currently has a 204-50 record in his fifth season with the Blue Raiders. He is now one win shy of tying the record for the most coaching wins in LWC softball program history.
