[Softball] LWC Wins Two Against Montreat

At the end of playing a string of eight games in five days, the Montreat Cavaliers saw the #11 Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders pull away from them on Wednesday for a doubleheader sweep. 

In the first game, the Blue Raiders defeated the Cavs 7-0. Lindsey Wilson (13-4)  plated two runs in the first and fourth and then closed it out with three in the bottom of the sixth. Montreat managed hits from Kelsey Nolasco (SO/Casa Grande, AZ), Cailin Warner (SO/Portland, OR), Morgan Meredith (SR/Coalfield, TN), and Paige Rosenbaum (SO/Dandridge, TN). Warner took the loss on the hill and Anabelle Ramirez earned the win for LWC. 

In the second game, Lindsey Wilson showed why they are nationally-ranked as they had a 10-run second frame en route to 16-3 victory. Sydney Fourman led the Blue Raiders with four hits and three RBIs. Offensively, the Cavs upped their production from the first game, getting two hits from Nolasco, a double from Warner, and base hits from Victoria Hill (JR/Beaufort, SC), Paige Rosenbaum, and Bree Powell. Nolasco showed her versatility by getting behind the plate in the second game and drove in a run, along with RBIs from Abby Swilley (SO/Riceville, TN) and Warner.
