[Softball] Threshers Sweep Hastings 12-4, 12-4 in Season Home-Opener

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - Cold and windy conditions didn't keep Bethel's spirits (or bats) down any during Sunday afternoon's double-header against the Hastings Broncos. Winners of the GPAC tournament last-season, Hastings looked to be a formidable foe for the Threshers, but Bethel made quick work of them in both games, ending each before the seventh inning due to the run-rule. Katie Schrag (SR/Haven, Kan.) turned in a powerful afternoon at the plate, hitting 5-7 with a three-run homerun and five total RBI. Alexis Wilson (JR/Wamego, Kan.) added a home-run and fielded some great plays, while the pitching mound was always in good hands through the innings. Bethel swept the Broncos, 12-4, 12-4.
