[Softball] Coastal Georgia Takes Two From Montreat

After splitting Friday's doubleheader with Brewton-Parker, the Cavaliers traveled to Brunswick, Georgia to face the Coastal Georgia Mariners for a doubleheader the next day. 

In the first game, the Mariners (2-0) defeated Montreat, 8-0, in five innings. Cailin Warner (SO/Portland, OR) took the loss for the Cavaliers. 

In the second game, the Cavaliers were again shutout, this time by a final score of 4-0. Ronnie Ellis (SO/Augusta, GA) took the mound for Montreat in the nightcap and allowed three earned runs and struck out two over five innings but suffered the loss. At the plate, Paige Rosenbaum (SO/Dandridge, TN) (SO/Dandridge, TN) had two hits for Montreat, and Swilley added a base hit as well.

Next Up: The Cavaliers return to Georgia to face the Thomas University Nighthawks (0-0) on Saturday, February 17.
