Top-seeded Simpson took one more step towards its sixth consecutive trip to the NAIA tournament by blanking Marymount California 9-0 in the second round of the California Pacific Conference Softball Championship tournament, and then La Sierra eliminated the Mariners by topping them 7-4 to advance to the Cal Pac title game against the Red Hawks.
