WATERTOWN, S.D. – Second-seeded Valley City State (N.D.) won in a slugfest over third-seeded Dakota State (S.D.) 14-6 in five innings in the winner's bracket of the North Star Athletic Association Softball Postseason Tournament, wrapping up the first day Thursday at PREMIER Softball Complex. It was the first meeting of the season for both teams, despite not being able to play in the regular-season finale last weekend.
