[Softball] SSU softball sweeps Ohio Christian (1-0 W, 9-1 W)

Over the first eight games of the 2021 season, the Shawnee State softball program had posted competitive results with its young group.

Those competitive results paid off in a big way for Wayne Wolfenbarker's squad Tuesday evening, as the Bears picked up their first wins of the 2021 season with 1-0 and 9-1 victories over Ohio Christian -- both games where Scioto County natives Cassie Schaefer (Notre Dame), Sydney Spence (Wheelersburg), and Madison Sifford (Minford) allowed just 10 hits between the trio in 13 innings of play.
