[Softball] Softball Earns Two Wild Walkoff Wins on Opening Day

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila softball rallied to tie games in the seventh inning twice and won both legs of their season-opening doubleheader on Friday via a walkoff – but not via the classic two-strike, two-out last-inning home run. And not even via a walkoff hit. Instead, the Eagles (2-0) saw Trinity Morris get hit by a pitch to win Game 1 4-3 and then saw the MidAmerica Nazarene (0-4) infield mishandle the ball off the bat of Kennedee Meier to lift the Eagles to a 5-4 victory in Game 2.
