[Softball] Jags softball goes 1-2 in first day at Portland

PORTLAND, Texas – After opening with a run-rule victory Friday, the University of Houston-Victoria softball team suffered two one-run losses during the opening day of the Southern Collegiate Sports NAIA Invitational softball tournament.

Angelica Davidson (SR/Portland, TX) belted a grand slam and Jackie Longoria (JR/Edinburg, TX) added three-run inside-the-park home run to highlight an eight-run second inning en route to a 13-1 win over Langston University in five innings.
