Prague Softball Week 2019: Germany defends Title with Shutout over Russia

The German Women’s Softball National Team has defended its title at the Prague Softball Week 2019. They shut out Russia 5-0 in the final on Friday afternoon, taking payback for a 0-5 loss to Russia in the preliminary round. Milena Böttger and tournament MVP Katharina Szalay scored two runs apiece for Germany. Hannah Held and India Caldwell combined for seven scoreless innings in the pitcher’s circle. Tatiana Zhuchkova had two hits and a walk for Russia.
