Marymount California had to overcome some major obstacles to get into the winner's bracket of its 2019 NAIA Softball Opening Round game in Medford, Ore.  The Mariners, making their first appearance in the national postseason in their brief four-year history, took on bracket host Southern Oregon on its home field and with one of the top pitchers starting in the circle.  MCU managed just four hits against Gabby Sandoval as the Raiders blanked the Mariners 5-0 in Monday's second game of the Southern Oregon Bracket.
