BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Sixth-seeded Shawnee State (Ohio) upset third-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) 2-0 in  Mid-South Conference Tournament first round at Michael O. Buchanon Park.

Shawnee State's McKenzie Whittaker fired a complete game shutout to lead the Bears to the upset. She allowed only one hit and struck out three batters in the win. Whittaker was extremely efficient in the gem, throwing only 72 pitches in the complete-game effort.
