[Softball] McCormick, Kozik Power V-Hawks to Opening Round Win Over #3-seed Mayville State

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – #6-seed Viterbo Softball upset #3-seed Mayville State University, 2-1, in the First Round of the North Star Athletic Association Tournament at Tharaldson Field on Thursday. The V-Hawks (16-28) earned their second postseason win since 2012 behind a three-hit performance by Sonya McCormick (JR/Monticello, Iowa) and a complete game by Caitlyn Kozik (SR/Marshfield, Wis.).
