GULF SHORES, Ala. - After opening the day with a disappointing loss, the University of Rio Grande rebounded with a pair of wins on Saturday in the Gulf Coast Invitational at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.
The day began with a 7-3 loss to Faulkner (Ga.) University before the RedStorm rebounded with a 3-2 win in eight innings over Ave Maria (Fla.) University and 3-0 shutout of Lyon (Ark.) College.
Rio Grande finished the day at 8-7 overall.
