[Softball] Jaguars open Cowtown with pair of wins

FORT WORTH – The University of Houston-Victoria softball team opened play at the Cowtown Classic with a pair of wins Friday after having their opening game cancelled due to weather conditions.

The Jaguars first game of the tournament against William Penn was cancelled due to sub-freezing temperatures, but the Jaguars warmed up quickly with a 7-4 win over Avila (Mo.) and a 7-0 victory over York (Neb.) in six innings.
