[Softball] Freed-Hardeman forces if necessary Championship Game with 4-1 win over Saint Xavier

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Third-seeded Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) forced an if necessary 2018 NAIA Softball Opening Round Championship game with a 4-1 victory over Saint Xavier (Ill.) at Marilyn D. Sparks Park.

The Lions (34-14) out hit the Cougars (29-16) 10-3 while leaving eight runners on base and Saint Xavier left five. Caitlyn Carter led the Freed-Hardeman offense with three hits while Annaka Baxter had two with two RBIs.
