[Softball] RedStorm splits with Shawnee State

    WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - Lexi Philen's two-run double snapped a seventh inning tie and lifted the University of Rio Grande to a 4-2 win over rival Shawnee State University, Wednesday afternoon, in game one of their non-conference doubleheader at Boone Coleman Field.
    The Bears avoided a sweep with a 5-4 walk-off victory in the nightcap.
    As a result of the split, Rio Grande finished the day at 24-11.
    Shawnee State improved to 19-13 with the game two win.
