[Softball] Simpson Wins Five in a Row on the Road

Simpson opened an extensive road trip by dropping a doubleheader at No. 8 Corban, but the Red Hawks came back the next day to sweep Northwest Christian before heading south for a California Pacific Conference series at Marymount California.  SU, which received votes in the latest NAIA national poll, capped the week with a three-game sweep against the Mariners to start the defense of their conference crown with a 3-0 record.  Embry-Riddle was the only other winner last week, topping Ottawa (Ariz.) 10-2 in a non-conference game.
