[Softball] ERAU and LSU Open Cal Pac Play With a Split

Embry-Riddle and La Sierra split the opening doubleheader in California Pacific Conference play.  The Eagles win in the opener extended its season-best win streak to six games, but the Golden Eagles snapped that with a convincing victory in the second game, scoring 13 times despite being outhit 13-9.  The Eagles were coming off a dramatic sweep of Saint Katherine two days earlier when ERAU registered a pair of walk-off wins over the Firebirds, the only twin victory recorded by a Cal Pac team last week.
