S2S Week Event Information

S2S is here! As we head into the final stretch of the season, Sovereign Lake Nordic Club is proud to host this exciting event on April 4th and 5th.

With S2S comes an incredible atmosphere, dedicated volunteers, and some important updates to trail access, parking, and spectator opportunities.

S2S Setup: March 30 – April 3

Preparation for S2S is already underway.

• Small machines will be out setting the course
• Fencing will appear at key intersections
• Some trails and routes will be adjusted

You will need to adjust your routes this week to accommodate race setup.

S2S has been in planning all year, and it takes many hours from our hardworking volunteers to bring this event together. We know this may be a slight inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your patience and support.

Fencing is often in place for your safety, and trails beyond closures may not be groomed.

• Ask our lodge staff for daily updates

Official S2S training: April 2 & 3
Expect additional impacts to grooming and track setting. The course is open for everyone.

This is your chance to experience the energy of S2S up close.

S2S Race Days: April 4 & 5

Trail access will be extremely limited and not advised for guests or members during the race.

• Most racers will be off the trails by 12:00 pm
• Course takedown begins shortly after, with machines on course
• Expect variable conditions, including quad tracks
• Trails will be raked where possible—please ski with caution

Parking & Spectators

Plan ahead:

• Main SLNC lots reserved for volunteers, staff, and bus drop-offs
• Spectators are strongly encouraged to carpool or take the event Shuttle from SilverStar
• Spectator parking in snowshoe lots
• Volunteer parking priority until 11:00 am

Please follow directions from our parking marshals—they keep everything moving safely and efficiently.

Final Day of the Season – April 6

Let’s finish strong.

We’re happy to offer one final day of skiing on Monday, April 6th.

• Please have vehicles out of the main lot by 4:30 pm
• Skiing later? Please park in the snowshoe lot
