Masters Biathlon Clinic: Oct. 4 – 6
MASTERS BIATHLON CAMP
This camp is for experienced master biathlon racers, ages 35 and up. The camp provides elite level biathlon training and refine biathlon skill. This camp will be coached by ASC Biathlon Coaching staff Brian Halligan and Dave Eastwood.
This camp will touch on all aspects of biathlon including shooting, endurance training, roller ski technique, strength, goal setting, and more. Athletes will be required to provide their own equipment and ammunition.
Athletes will be responsible for their own lodging and transportation. All activities will be centered around the Auburn Ski Club Training Center. Lunch will be provided Saturday and Sunday.
Schedule:
Friday 10/4:
1:00 Meet at ASC. introduction
1:30-3:30 Rifle fit/positioning. Precision fire, touch on basics of shooting. Shooting drills
3:30-4:00 Range clean-up/snack
4:00-5:00 Presentation by Brian Halligan: Mental Training.
4:30 go home
Saturday 10/5:
8:00-8:45 Zero and shooting drills. Break down each piece of the process and focus on fundamentals
8:45-10:00 Bounding combos: L3 Focus
10:00-10:30 Range Clean-up
10:30-11:30 Presentation by Brian: Balancing Life and Training
11:30-12:30 Lunch
12:30-1:15 Watch world cup video for technique
1:15-3:00 Roller ski technique in parking lot.
3:00-4:00 watch rollerski videos for technique
4:00 go home
Sunday 10/6:
8:00-8:45 Zero and shooting drills. Break down each piece of the process and focus on fundamentals
8:45-10:30 Roller ski combos
10:30-11:00 Range Clean-up
11:00-12:00 Early lunch
12:00-1:00 Strength
1:00-1:30 Break/Snacks
1:30-4:00 Hike Castle Peak (Spouses and Children welcome to join)
4:00 Camp wrap up.
