Pyeongchang, South Korea (dpa) - Three-time gold medallist Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo has completed his programme at the Pyeongchang Games and will not compete in the concluding 50-kilometres cross country race.Klaebo told Norwegian broadcasters NRK Thursday that he felt tired after winning the team event with Martin Johnsrud Sundby the previous day but would have needed all of his power and motivation to do well in Saturday‘s long-distance race."Skiing takes its toll. To do the 50km, I would have to be really motivated, and there are others who are more motivated than me," he said.Sundby, Niklas Dyrhaug and skiathlon bronze medallist Hans Christer Holund have been picked for Norway‘s 50km team. Emil Iversen or Didrik Toenseth are to get the final spot, according to NRK.Along with the team sprint, the 21-year-old Klaebo also won gold in the sprint and relay, after finishing 10th in the opening skiathlon. He did not compete in the 15km.Klaebo called his first Olympics "a dream" and added: "I think that when I get home and this has really sunk in, I‘m going to be immensely satisfied."
