In an effort to compel China to conclude a deal on its intellectual property (IP) practices, President Trump recently increased punitive tariffs from 10 percent to 25 percent on $200 billion worth of products sourced from China, including backpacks, sports bags, leather ski gloves, headwear, kayaks and camp chairs.
