Five things to watch at the Winter Olympics on February 16 - Day 7

SKELETON (0130 GMT+1)

Dom Parsons will slide in the conclusion of the men's skeleton competition, seeking to win Great Britain's first medal of the Games. Home favourite Yun Sung-bin has a near unassailable lead, but Parsons is 0.03 seconds off the podium places in fourth with two runs of the four-run competition remaining. The women's event, featuring defending champion Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas begins later on Friday.

ALPINE (0200)

The two-run women's slalom takes place at Yongpyong Alpine Centre with giant slalom winner Mikaela Shiffrin of the United States seeking her second gold in two days and third in all. She is the dominant force in the event and it is difficult to imagine another victor.

SNOWBOARD (0200)

Zoe Gillings-Brier is Britain's representative in the women's snowboard cross, where plenty of eyes will fall on Lindsey Jacobellis of the USA. Her showboating cost her gold in 2006, she was disqualified in 2010 and crashed in 2014. She is still in search of Olympic redemption.

ALPINE (0300)
