Billie Eilish Touches Down in Japan in Chunky Black ES Skateboarding Sneakers

Billie Eilish touched down at Narita International Airport today in Narita, Japan. The performer was accompanied by her mother Maggie Baird.

The “Happier Than Ever” singer laced up a pair of chunky jet-black sneakers hailing from the skateboarding sneaker brand ES. The style featured cloth and leather black uppers, black lace-up closures, a chunky retro-esque composition and flexible and durable rubber soles.

Eilish is a big fan of the brand, given their sneakers coincide with the performer’s tomboy style. The singer has worn ES Skateboarding sneakers on numerous occasions, opting for the brand’s neutral silhouettes that allow her outfit to shine through.

ES Skateboarding is owned by the Nidecker Group and was founded by skateboarder Pierre André Senizergues in 1995 by skateboarders for skateboarders. The brand’s every sneaker silhouette is made with the sport in mind. The love of skateboarding informs every design and color choice, offering footwear fans a retro and unique perspective on sneakers.

In tomboy-ish fashions, the “Bellyache” singer wore an oversized white and red striped Jordans jersey layered overtop a pink and blue gingham button-down fitted with short sleeves. On the bottom, Eilish wore basketball shorts in brown and black with a checkerboard print and lettering scrawled in cursive on the hem. Finishing off her look, the musician wore black glasses with thin frames, a black and white bandana and silver dog tags around her neck.

For footwear, Eilish usually opts for sneakers. She is set to release another collaboration with Nike. During previous red carpet events, the star could be seen in platform sandals and pumps from brands like Gucci. However, her go-to styles are often sneakers hailing from Converse, Nike, Burberry and Balenciaga. The star occasionally wears tall boots that coordinate with her outfits as well, usually by Moon Boot, Dr. Martens and Swear London.
