Videos emerge of SF police officer bumping skateboarder
Videos spread online Wednesday showing a San Francisco police officer running into a skateboarder speeding down a street by Dolores Park, sending the man crashing into a police car. The incident happened during an informal skateboarding competition Tuesday night that drew dozens of officers to the park, resulting in confrontations between police and a large group of skateboarders. In two videos posted on social media Tuesday night, the officer appears to extend his left arm into the path of the skateboarder riding downhill. Several other skateboarders and bystanders who witnessed the crash shortly after 7 p.m. reacted angrily, saying the officer appeared to have caused the contact intentionally. Police reinforcements arrived to try to break up the show and relieve tensions amid the crowd of roughly 400.
