UPDATE, 3:20 p.m.: The victim of the shooting has died, officials said. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of her family.
ORIGINAL STORY: LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- A woman has been wounded in a shooting at Himbola Manor Apartments in Lafayette this afternoon, authorities said.
At approximately 1:53 p.m., LPD received multiple calls reporting shots fired at the location. Upon the arrival of patrol officers, a woman was located on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital. Her current condition is unknown.
