Noughties singer, 46, has barely aged a day 25 years after shooting to fame and selling 45m records
A NOUGHTIES singer looked like she was ageing backwards as she put on a glam display on the red carpet this week.
The singer shot to fame in 2000 with the release of her debut single I’m Like a Bird.
And Nelly Furtado looked like hardly a day had passed since she got her big break when she stepped out in Miami.
The Maneater hitmaker showed off her enviable curves in a bodycon dress as she posed for the cameras at the Karol G Con Cora Foundation Benefit Gala.
Pop superstar Nelly took to Instagram to share snaps from the event and fans rushed to comment.
One wrote: “This dress is everyyyyyyything on you.”
Another said: “We need a moment for you in this look.”
And a third added: “You are so GORGEOUS.”
In 2006 Nelly released her most successful album to date, Loose, on which she worked with producer Timbaland.
It spawned the international hits Say It Right, Maneater, Promiscuous and Do It and went on to sell more than 12 million copies worldwide.
Nelly has flogged more than 45 million records in her career and is a Grammy award winner.
Last month Nelly was praised by fans for showing off her bikini body while posing in a bright orange two-piece.
And she recently hit back at claims she was pushed into being a hyper-sexualised version of herself amid the release of Loose – and branded herself “one of the most dynamic artists ever”.
Speaking to the Guardian, Nelly said: “I don’t agree that it was hyper-sexualised, but I was very intentional with everything I did.
“I’m very involved in all my music videos and imagery and music, so no, I wasn’t pushed. We went to the studio and I just made what I was feeling.
“I think I’m one of the most dynamic artists ever. I’m going to say that out loud. I just think people are used to people being one-dimensional and I’m not.
“I never want to be boring, that’s for sure – well, sometimes I’m boring too! But you have to try different things.”
