John Mullan: Banbridge RFC

Volunteer Roles

1st XV Team Manager – organising travel, equipment, hotels when competing in AIL, distribution of kit when necessary.

Photographer – taking and editing photos.

Social media manager – ensuring specific posts are published at certain times. Ensuring supporters have access to information.

Videographer – shooting and editing video.

Why did you get involved in volunteering?

Initially because my kids started playing mini rugby. I coached from mini to youth rugby throughout the years before getting involved in the 1st XV coaching team.

I enjoy giving to the sport I love and the main highlights are seeing young players develop into AIL regulars.

Why would you recommend volunteering at Banbridge?

We are a club in the centre of our community. We respect every aspect of our area. Regardless of age, gender, race or religion, everyone is welcome at our club. Volunteers are appreciated and encouraged to be the best version of themselves in their particular role.
