rebuilding strength after illness, any advise please

0 9
Ok so the story is this.

A couple of years ago, I was shooting 40lb, and got a shoulder injury so dropped down to 24 and carried on shooting, gradually over abotu 18 months got back up to 36lb.

then at the beginning of may this year, I got pnumonia, i was in hospital for a week, and was in a bad way.. but on the mend now

So.

I feel ok generally, and 3 or 4 weeks ago, started shooting again, dropped down to 28 lb, and tried to shoot in the garden, first attempt i only just managed 20 arrows, a few every few days( I am getting worn out quite quickly though) i was able to build that up to about 50

then saturday i managed a club competition ( a 6 dozen round) shot awful but completed it, ( i guess shooting at the club is a bit of a slower pace than shooting alone, in the garden, so I was able to shoot more arrows)

so, I do need / want to get back to my 36 lb limbs ( bought some second hand uukhas a week before falling ill, im itching to shoot them)

What would you suggest would be the quickest / best way to get my strength back up.

I was thinking, doing some pulling reps a few nights a week, or shooting a few arrows every couple of days ( would it be better to shoot 50 with the 28lb, or as many as a ican with the uukhas, and keep trying to shoot a couple mroe ) would that work, im really at a bit of a"i dont know what to do"

any advice would be appreciated and considered.
