Leinster Laser Championship Rush 2019

The Leinster Laser Championship took place in Rush from the 6-7th July..

The club was represented by Hugh O’Connor in the 4.7 Rig and James Delaney in the Radial. 

On Saturday the conditions were light and shifty with a large tide which was challenging for all sailors, however, the Race Officer managed to squeeze 3 races in. 

At the end of day one Hugh O’Connor was lying in 3rd position in the 4.7 Rig. On Sunday the breeze picked up much to everyone’s delight.  Again the Race Officer managed to complete 3 races. Hugh O’Connor had a steady day keeping his place and improving to finally achieve 2nd place overall in the 4.7 Rig.  

James Delaney had a poor first day but managed to regain position on day two. James is traveling to the World Laser Championship in Kingston Canada on Sunday 14th July. The NYC wish James all the best.
