In Memoriam – Lyndon Crowley

Pontypridd RFC are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player and Friends of Pontypridd official Lyndon Crowley.

A local boy, Lyndon played for Pontypridd Youth and became a regular for the Athletic XV as a lock forward or No8 before representing the senior team – that one opportunity came on 13th December 1969 when the club played away at Esher.

After his playing days were over Lyndon served tirelessly as a leading light of the Friends of Pontypridd Rugby – a group of people that have been long-standing supporters of the Club who raise funds to support it and its facilities financially.

Lyndon still attended matches at Sardis Road up until very recently prior to his passing. Everyone at Pontypridd RFC would like to pass on its sincerest condolences to all of Lyndon’s family and friends at this extremely sad time.
