Game: Cherry PIckers v Scrivens Select XV

Date: Bank Holiday Sunday

Venue: Whiteway (Cirencester Rugby)

KO: 2.00pm

Event: Cirencester Beer Festival 2019 (Admission fee for fans & supporters £5.00)

Cirencester Rugby has invited the Cherry Pickers, comprising many former players who have pulled on a cherry&white shirt, to play the Scrivens Select XV in a memorial charity game this bank holiday Sunday.

Nigel Scrivens played second row for Gloucester Rugby for many years. Tragically Nigel and his wife Sharon lost their son Ashley five years ago to cancer at the age of (24). This weekend marks the fifth anniversary of his passing.

The Scrivens family has since worked tirelessly to raise monies for Cirencester Race for Life (in aid of Cancer Research UK).
The funds raised from the game will go to this great cause.

All players and families are most welcome to attend to attract a large crowd supporting the many players who are turning out to play.

It promises to be a great occasion and great game of rugby to celebrate Ashley's life.
