I enjoy just about all sports.
Football is top of that list. However I've enjoyed playing and watching cricket and rugby to name just two.
Friends and aquaintences over the years who prefer rugby and cricket have bordered upon being aloof and regularly suggested that my preferred sport is rife with cheating,
posers, trouble makers and billy big bollocks characters.
I have to admit that it's been hard to refute the critics.
However the whiter than white reputations of rugby players and cricketers and many of their supporters seems to be more regularly tarnished as time goes by.
Currently Stokes and Cipriani, 2 so called role models have " let their side down ".
Not a reason to gloat but I can't help thinking that as cricketers and rugby players earn more and become higher profile so called celebrities, their halos may be slipping
down to the level of our neanderthal football players.

Is money the root of this evil, or social media or media exposure ..?
Shame really that professional status appears to bring adverse behaviour to some of those at the top of their sport.
