Royals Juniors lead the way.

The Trafford Rowing Club Bridgewater Head Race was a cold, rain soaked day for all competitors but The Royal Chester up and coming junior crews proving they are a force to be reckoned with in the North West.

Wins in a eight categories saw the girls and boys demonstrate strength and discipline in the energy sapping wet conditions. Jake Freer Smith won Intermediate 3 single sculls and then teamed up with Ollie Smith to win in Intermediate 3 double sculls over two minutes ahead of rivals.

Junior 16 girls Lorna Cowdell, Molly Paton, Paige Cox, and Amy Morris continued their winning streak in the coxless quads by a huge margin of 54 seconds. Junior 16 Double Scullers Sarah Fearnell and Molly Paton raced to 1st place with a Royals crew also in 2nd place. The Junior 16 girls also raced later in single sculls coming 3rd,4th and 6th within 9 seconds of each another.

The Junior 15 boys Morgan Linfield and Derri Peers won the double sculls. The youngest girls racing in Junior 14 won double sculls, Fenella Cowdell and Issy Ford, and quads, Hannah Jones, Octavia Shore, Fenella Cowdell, Issy Ford and cox Claudia Delafaille convincingly.
