Alumnus Matt Brittin OLY Awarded CBE in King’s New Year Honours List
The Club wishes to extend its warmest congratulations to alumnus Matt Brittin OLY who was awarded a CBE in the King’s New Year Honours List for his services to technology and the enhancement of digital skills.
Brittin spent a decade leading Google’s operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and now serves as a non-executive director at Guardian Media Group. Over his eighteen-year tenure at Google, he spearheaded and expanded initiatives to enhance digital skills for individuals, businesses and communities worldwide, resulting in training for more than 100 million people globally.
Brittin rowed in the 1987, 1988 and 1989 Boat Races and for Great Britain from 1985 to 1989, winning a bronze medal at the World Rowing Championships in 1989.
He received his MBA from London Business School and achieved an MA in Land Economy and Geography whilst at Robinson College, Cambridge. Read more about his time at Robinson here.
