CUBC Names 2026 Presidents

CUBC proudly launches its 2025–26 campaign with the announcement of this year’s student presidents who will lead their squads in preparation for the 2026 Boat Race. Stay tuned: the lightweight presidents will be revealed following the election of the women’s president.

Men | Noam Mouelle (Hughes Hall)

Noam began rowing at the age of nine in the Paris area. With his home club, Société Nautique du Perreux, he won multiple national titles and represented France at both the Junior and U23 World Championships. He also spent time rowing in Brussels before beginning his undergraduate degree in Physics at Imperial College London in 2018.

In October 2022, Noam joined the University of Cambridge to pursue a PhD in Physics and became a member of CUBC. He raced in the Blue Boat in 2023, 2024, and 2025, winning each year. Serving as President is, for Noam, a meaningful way to give back to the club, and he’s excited to lead the team into one final campaign.

Women | Gemma King (Lady Margaret)

Gemma began rowing as a junior at Lady Eleanor Holles School Boat Club before starting at the University of Cambridge in 2018. She studied for an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences and is now entering her third year of a PhD in stem cell biology.

This will be her eighth campaign with CUBC, having rowed for lightweights in 2019 & 2022, Blondie (women’s reserves) in 2020, 21 & 23, and the victorious 2024 & 2025 Blue Boats. She served as vice-president in 2025 and is excited to step into the role of president. She is hoping to continue CUBC’s long run of success!
