OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - RIVERSPORT officials are seeking adults interested in trying the sport of rowing for RIVERSPORT`s 2025 Learn to Row sessions.

Classes are set to begin May 9 continuing monthly through September for $110 per session.

According to Riversport, participants can expect a beginner-friendly program designed for adults ages 18 and older. The sessions includes six hours of instruction over three weekends with classes held Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons at the Chesapeake Boathouse.

Attendees will learn rowing technique, water safety, and boat handling on the
Oklahoma River, progressing from a complete beginner to a novice rower.

No prior experience is required.

"This is a great way for adults to try something new and get out on the water," said Chris Sorensen, RIVERSPORT executive director. "In just a few weekends, people gain the skills to keep rowing recreationally or move into our adult rowing program."
