The Boat Race 2025: Reserve Crews Announced

Introducing the 2025 Men’s and Women’s Reserve Crews, who will race over The Championship Course on Sunday 13 April.

Goldie, the Men’s Reserve Crew, is named after J.H.D. Goldie, a former CUBC President and legendary rower, and also the name of CUBC’s boathouse in Cambridge. Blondie, the Women’s Reserve Crew, is named in honour of the 1970s band and is a nod to their Goldie counterparts. Oxford’s Men’s Reserve crew is called Isis, named after the river that runs through the city. While the Oxford Women’s Reserve crew is called Osiris, in reference to the couple in Egyptian mythology.
