Princeton Lightweight Men’s Rowing Retains Murtaugh Cup Over Navy
ANNAPOLIS – The Princeton Men’s Lightweight Rowing team retained the Murtaugh Cup with a three-second victory over the Navy Midshipmen this morning.
The action started with the 2V rowing out to a 6:00.1 just in front of Navy (6:01.2).
As the wind and gust intensity went up as the racing kept going, the 1V rowed out to a 5:46.3, three seconds ahead of the Midshipmen to retain the Murtaugh Cup for the second straight season.
Navy’s 3V (6:08.3) earned the decision over Princeton (6:14.3).
Princeton takes on Columbia next Saturday on the road for the Campbell Cup along with Dartmouth.
