Death of Tim Senior, Chairman of The Boat Race Company Limited (BRCL)

It is with great sadness that we report that Dr Tim Senior, the Chair of The Boat Race Company Limited (BRCL), died unexpectedly over the weekend.

Tim was appointed Chair of BRCL in April 2021 and had an immediate impact working to secure a number of key partnerships and helping the Boat Race return to the Championship Course post-pandemic in 2022.

Tim will be sincerely missed by his rowing friends and family across the country.

Given Tim’s commitment and love of The Boat Race, we remain focused on supporting the Universities and delivering a successful event in just forty days’ time.

Current BRCL Board Member Siobhan Cassidy will take on the role of interim Chair with immediate effect.

At this incredibly difficult time for the family, we please ask that people respect the privacy of Tim’s immediate family.
