Boat Race Event Manager

Contract Role – over 6.5 months
Home based working with travel to Cambridge, Oxford, London.

Start Date – Mid November 2020

The Boat Race Company Limited (BRCL) exists to deliver the world-famous Oxford v Cambridge Boat Races every year on behalf of the university boat clubs. The Boat Race is one of the major British sporting events of the year. 2021 will see the 166th Men’s Boat Race and the 75th Women’s Boat Race.

We are now seeking a dedicated and experienced administrator with proven experience in major sporting event organisation and project management. This is an exciting opportunity for an effective individual to work as part of a small busy team to support the running of The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race 2021.

This role will require attention to detail, the ability to work with a range of stakeholders and partners, as well as the skills to build excellent working relationships with everyone. The role is varied and interesting, with event organisation, administration and partner and stakeholder relations.

The successful candidate will need to prioritise a varied workload, work independently whilst delivering to multiple stakeholders at any one time. Rowing knowledge is an advantage but not essential.

Initially a contractor role for 6.5 months, there may be scope to extend the contract for future years for a successful, high performing candidate.
