In a release published March 4, USRowing announced the 2020 USRowing National Championships will be moved from Lake Harsha in Bethel, Ohio, to the Cooper River in Camden County, New Jersey. The event will still be held July 14-19.

Although the release did not provide information as to why the event was being moved, Susan Smith, interim CEO of USRowing mentioned that USRowing will continue to host future events in Bethel, Ohio at Lake Harsha.

“We’re very appreciative of the Clermont Sports Development Corporation’s willingness to work with us to relocate this year’s event,” Smith said in the release. “Harsha Lake at East Fork State Park is a wonderful venue, and the LOC does an exceptional job of providing our athletes with an outstanding race experience. We look forward to bringing national championship regattas back to Ohio in the near future.”
