CUBC wins the Visitors’ – Henley 2019

CUBC congratulates its 2020 President Freddie Davidson, and his crewmates, on their success in the Visitors’ Challenge Cup. In what can only be described as a dominant display, the crew of Charlie Elwes (Leander), Freddie, Tom Digby (Griffin), and David Ambler (Tideway Scullers) recorded an ‘easily’ verdict in their final against Nereus and Laga of the Netherlands.

The verdict was a result of the crew equalling the Barrier record that they had set earlier in the week, equalling the record to Fawley, and beating the previous course record by 3 seconds.

The crew will go on to represent GB at the Under 23 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida, from the 24th-28th July.
