A note from our president…

Now that Mother Nature appears to be cooperating and allowing us to go back onto the water, I wanted to say a few words as the new President of the DRC.  While I have been involved with the club and the Executive for a number of years, I truly haven’t seen this much enthusiasm amongst the various programs.  Much of this can be attributed to the fine efforts of a number of people and I would be remiss if I didn’t take this opportunity to recognize a few people as well as let you know some of the things that the Executive is working on. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the incredible contributions being made by Lynda Dundas (your Past President).  Having worked with Lynda on the Board and seeing the amount of time she has put in to making the DRC one of the top clubs in Canada is something to behold.  From the hours spent with Recreation and Fitness program to time as both President and Safety Officer as well as on the boards of RowOntario and Rowing Canada, I count my blessings that Lynda continues to remain as an active member of the DRC Executive.
