Alumna Paige Badenhorst set to race at the Olympics

After narrowly missing qualifying for the Paris Olympics in the women’s double scull, alumna Paige Badenhorst (WBB 2022, Magdalene) was faced with another hurdle to jump in gaining the final place at the Olympics in the single scull: her double scull partner Katherine Williams.

South Africa was recently allocated a single scull place for Paris and the two lined up against each other to race for that final place.

In a tight and tense race, Paige was able to take the win and book her trip to Paris where she will join a number of CUBC alumni.
