Newsletter Week 22
Dear LUMC Members,
Congratulations to our Roses team for this weekend, a very strong performance from all members! A special mention goes to Suzie Buckmaster, who won both the individual women's leading and bouldering rounds. Well done also to Charlie Mpetha (as expected!), whose phenomenal final top secured his place as men's individual bouldering champion for the second consecutive year.
This Week:
Wednesday Meeting: We will be meeting at 1pm in County Bar for lunch and a chat, before heading down to the wall for 2pm. If you require any gear, please request it on the Facebook group in advance, or come along to the meeting.
Pizza Social: 7pm on Wednesday 3rd May, in Flat 1, House 5 (Bracewell), Pendle College. Take a break from exams, and enjoy a relaxing night eating pizza, to raise money for the charity VSO. Please sign up on the Facebook event if you are interested, and don't forget to bring your own drink! If you have any games you want to play, please feel free to bring them along. A minimum donation of £3.50 would be fantastic.
Things to look out for:
Adventure Time: 7:30pm on Wednesday 10th May at County bar. Talks and videos for this round include mountain biking, climbing in Dartmoor, and travelling in Nepal and in Iceland. The event should be up on Facebook shortly!
Isle of Skye Trip: We're aiming to run a week-long trip to Skye at the end of term, but are still in the midst of planning. If you would like to come along (dates allowing) please sign up on the LUMC website as soon as possible. Further details will be posted as and when they are finalised.
