This Week:
Wednesday: We will be meeting at 1pm in County Bar for lunch and a chat. Please return any club gear you may have. We will then be heading down to the wall for 2pm. If you would like to borrow any gear, please come along to the meeting, or message an exec member in advance!
BMC Winter Skills Lecture: Wednesday 23rd November, 19:30 in Faraday Lecture Theatre. We have managed to organise a BMC Winter Skills Lecture at the uni! The club has 50 tickets to sell, which are £4 each. We will be donating all the money we make to Mountain Rescue. You can also buy tickets directly from BMC. This is a great opportunity to learn more about winter climbing, navigation, and avalanche awareness. More info about the event here: https://www.facebook.com

For those who have already paid online, you can collect your tickets at the Wednesday lunchtime meeting, or on the door. Please arrive by 19:15 so the lecture can start at 19:30. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Weekend Trip: We are aiming to run a trip on Sunday, but this will be weather dependent. Keep an eye out for a post on the Facebook page!
Things to look out for:
Pizza Party: Wednesday 30th November, 19:30 in Cartmel House 54, Flat 1. Food socials are the best socials, so there's no excuse not to come along and relax before any deadlines start to catch up with you! Please make sure to mark down that you're going to come, or we won't have bought you a pizza base! https://www.facebook.
We'll provide a selection of the standard toppings, but if you want anything special be sure to bring it along. It'll cost £3, to be brought on the day, and feel free to bring your own drinks.
Christmas Meal: Our Christmas meal this year is at Greaves Park, on Tuesday the 6th of December at 7:30pm. The total cost is £20.50 for 3 courses. Please pay your £5 deposit on the LUSU website; the link is written on the confirmation page. Here is the festive menu: http://www.greavespark.

Weekend Away: We have had to push our weekend away trip back to the end of week 9. We will be staying in a hut in Thirlmere for 2 nights. We'll be leaving campus during the afternoon of Friday 9th of December, and returning on the Sunday evening. The aim is to do some trad climbing, but if the weather prevents that we'll be doing winter walking and scrambling. The trip will cost £35, which must be paid on the LUSU website in advance; the link will be on the confirmation page.

Winter Skills Trip: We will be running our annual winter skills trip to the Cairngorms in Scotland during the last week of the Christmas Holidays. More details to follow!
