This spring, we’ll see legendary climbers compete for a spot on the national team—and a pathway to the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Lindsey Vonn ain’t got nothing on Chris Sharma, who at 44, will compete in the Lead discipline in February to try to secure a spot on the national team, with a goal toward competing in the 2028 Olympics, when he would be 47 years old. Nathaniel Coleman will also be vying for a spot on the national team.

Where to watch YETI Climbing Championships
The YETI Climbing National Championships is the first major competition of 2026. Qualifiers, semi-finals, and finals in lead, boulder, and speed will take place from February 11 to 15 at the High Point Climbing gym in Orlando, Florida.
