Wednesday March 19th Day Meet in the South Lakes

Here is my intended meet on March 19th.

Levens Bridge to Cunswick Scar via Scout Scar, to finish in Kendal.

Start/Parking.

Levens Bridge lay-by (GR 497 852) Landranger map OS 97.

Meeting Time   10.15.

Route

A pleasant walk along a limestone escarpment North to Helsington church, Scout Scar(235m), Cunswick Scar and Kendal Golf course to Kendal.

Hopefully,  we will have good views to the Lakeland fells, Lyth valley and the Howgills.

The 555 Bus from Kendal (hourly) to Levens Bridge to pick up vehicles. Do not forget your bus pass or pay £3 single journey. Approx 20 minutes.

Refreshments available in Kendal or take your own. Unfortunately,  the excellent cafe at Levens Hall shuts at 4pm.

Distance approximately 13 Km.
